Les Arcs is a network of 4 independent resorts located in the heart of the Tarentaise and on the edge of the Vanoise Massif. Of the four Les Arcs resorts, Arc1600 the quietest, making it a great location for families, whilst still offering the same facilities as found in Arc1800, Arc1950 and the most recent site, Arc2000. All 4 sites are pedestrianized with free outdoor or payable covered parking on the outskirts of the resorts, with a free shuttle bus service running between each site and linking the four resorts together.
CHILDREN The ESF French Ski School snow kindergarten offers ski lessons to children aged 3 years and over - a great introduction to the slopes! In Arc1800, the "Les Pommes de Pins" offers childcare to younger children aged between 1 to 6 years, as well as ski lessons for children aged 3 years and over. Located in Arc2000, the "Les Marmottons" nursery offers childcare and ski lessons to children aged 18 months to 6 years.
OTHER ACTIVITIES Part of the wider PARADISKI domain which links the resorts of Champagny, Les Coches, La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry, skiers in Les Arcs have access to an impressive 425km of ski runs. The immediate Les Arcs ski area offers 200km of slopes, served by 54 lifts with runs suitable for skiers of all abilities.
Cross country skiing : length of cross country track 15 Km Cross-country skiers visiting Les Arcs will be able to access 15km of off-piste trails, all of which are free of charge to use.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION All the Les Arcs resorts are within easy reach of Bourg Saint Maurice train station, with a direct funicular running from Bourg Saint Maurice to Arc1600 and a shuttle bus serive to other areas. There are also free outdoor and payable underground car parks available throughout the reosrt. Les Arcs is well-equipped, and offers all necessary amenities incluing local shops, bars and restaurants, doctors and pharmacies.
